The grated apples are left to stand for a while, then we squeeze them well from the leftover juice and heat them for a few minutes together with the sugar. When they cool, add the chopped walnuts, cinnamon, vanilla sugar and lemon peel and mix. Melt the butter (margarine) in a saucepan, over low heat, without boiling. Thaw the package of sheets and cut strips of 7-8 cm wide, ie we will get 3 strips of overlapping sheets. We take a strip and grease it with melted butter. Put a teaspoon of the filling at one end of the 3 overlapping strips and bring the opposite corner of the filling. We continue to zigzag until we reach the end of the strip. Proceed in the same way until we finish the strips.

The triangles thus formed are placed in a tray lined with baking paper, greased with butter and put in the oven heated to 180 degrees until golden brown.

For syrup, we put all the ingredients in a bowl big enough to fit a trine and let them boil. Immerse the warm wheat in this syrup and let it soak for about 1-2 minutes.

2 sachets of vanilla sugar

Cook the cake with sour apples

Preparation time

Ingredients

  • For a 28/40 cm tray:
  • 4 eggs
  • 250 gr sugar
  • 150 ml oil
  • 150 ml of milk
  • 400 gr flour
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • peel from 1 organic lemon
  • 2 vials of vanilla essence (2 & # 2158 ml)
  • 1500 gr green apples, grated
  • 100 gr caster sugar
  • 30 g of vanilla sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 100 gr butter

Method of preparation

Let's start with the apple composition.

Wash the apples well, remove the peel, only where it is broken and put them on the large grater.

Put them on the fire together with the sugar. Leave until nicely caramelized and evaporated from the syrup left. Turn off the heat and add the butter cut into pieces. Stir until the butter melts and arrange evenly in the apple composition.

When the apples are cooled, add the vanilla sugar and cinnamon to give off their flavors while the cake is baking.

For the dough, mix the eggs sprinkled with salt, then add the sugar and finely grated lemon peel. We mix them until they become frothy and the salt and sugar are melted.

Add the oil, mix the composition, then add the milk and mix again. At the end, we incorporate the flour mixed with the baking powder.

Grease the pan with oil, sprinkle with flour and pour half of the top composition into it.

Put the tray in the oven for 10 minutes, until the dough coagulates.

Remove the tray, spread the apples and pour over the other side of the dough.

We put the tray with moldy cake with sour apples bake for 20 minutes, or until the dough is well browned on top.

The dough will remain slightly moist, both the bottom and the top, looking slightly syrupy. This is also one of the attractions of the cake.

Let the cake cool, so we can portion it and enjoy it with gusto, with our loved ones.

Optionally, you can powder it with vanilla-flavored sugar on top.

Fasting dessert with apples & # 8211 Ingredients

  • 300 gr white flour
  • 150 gr brown sugar
  • 125 ml oil
  • 250 ml of lukewarm water
  • 4 large apples
  • 100 gr walnut kernels
  • 5 gr baking powder
  • 5 gr cinnamon
