Mulled wine (Mulled Wine in English) is a hot drink based on red wine, sugar and spices, very common in the countries of northern Europe, but also in Italy it is often found in Christmas markets or during popular festivals that are held in the winter period. In this period I have seen mulled wine several times on the stalls, so I felt like preparing it and drinking it in the warmth of my house and having it tasted for mine too, so I equipped myself and said done it was on my table. You can prepare it and keep it in the fridge for two days and warm it up when serving it, it is excellent to warm up, accompany dried fruit or during meals, and given the simplicity with which it is prepared you can also serve it during these Christmas holidays on the occasion of a visit of your friends or relatives, they will be delighted. How to make mulled wine
Put the sugar in a saucepan with the spices, the orange peel and a couple of orange wedges
Add the red wine, stir and cook until it reaches the boiling point.
Boil over low heat for 5 minutes, mixing
Filter the mulled wine with a colander
Serve it hot
